The Island Welcome Pineapple — Handcrafted Recycled Glass Coastal Decor. While exploring the narrow streets and hidden alleys of Bali, Indonesia, I came across a young artisan transforming discarded window glass into extraordinary works of art. Surrounded by piles of recycled glass, he carefully shaped each piece by hand, giving forgotten materials a beautiful new life. I immediately knew the pineapple belonged in the Island Collection. Together we refined the design — adding tropical green leaves and a dark base, and developing three sizes that display beautifully as a group. For centuries, the pineapple has been a universal symbol of welcome, friendship, hospitality and gracious living — and that is why we made it part of the Island Collection.
